About the role
You are joining the team to make sure the South-East and East-Mids region achieves its sales targets so the business can keep growing and delighting more customers.
Success looks like: You are hitting your KPIs for new business being generated and our existing customer spend is growing.
To achieve this, you will:
  • Source and contact new prospects over the phone that could benefit from our products and support
  • Visiting prospects, convincing them of the benefits of becoming a Heat Mat customer
  • Building and maintaining relationships with our existing customers
  • Increasing spend from existing customers by exploring new opportunities and new solutions they could offer
  • Gathering all the key information needed to put together the right proposal for the customer
  • Closing the potential customers with their proposal
  • Weekly reporting based around your realistic pipeline
  • Attending customer site visits
To be successful in this role: You need to be able to build rapport with people you don’t know, both over the phone and in person, and you need to consistently take the actions that leads to successful results.
Essential Criteria
  • Full UK drivers licence
  • A proven track record of winning business over the phone
  • A proven track record of field-based sales
  • The ability to build rapport with people you don’t know, both over the phone and in person

Advantageous Criteria
  • Experience working within or alongside electrical wholesalers, merchants, and retailers
  • Experience of the electric underfloor heating market

You will be working alongside - We are a team of 11 and you will make it 12. We are one team that supports each other, there is no division between the office and the field-based sales team.

You will be working with our whole team at different times, be it your sales colleagues, our Sales Support team, or the Technical Team who will help you create your customer proposals.
You will be reporting to our Managing Director, Jo, who has nearly 20 years of industry experience she can share to help you succeed.

The culture you will be joining is - We recognise this can be lonely at times, so we make sure we speak daily and use WhatsApp and emails to stay in touch and also to keep smiles on our faces.
Your environment is - You don’t need to be in our head office very often so you will spend most of your time on the road prospecting for new customers and seeing existing ones. You will also be prospecting over the phone from home.
